Since Drupal 8 release, and a bit before, i have been checking to find out solutions for feature Drupal developement. Until now, i've only used Drush 6/7, but finding Drupal Console; I am wondering what will happen with Drush?
A bit of background on what is Drush and Drupal Console:
Drush is a command line shell and Unix scripting interface for Drupal. Drush core ships with lots of useful commands for interacting with code like modules/themes/profiles. Similarly, it runs update.php, executes sql queries and DB migrations, and misc utilities like run cron or clear cache. Source: https://github.com/drush-ops/drush
The Drupal Console is a suite of tools run from a command line interface (CLI) to generate boilerplate code and interact with a Drupal 8 installation. From the ground up, it has been built to utilize the same modern PHP practices which were introduced in Drupal 8.
Basically, both are doing almost the same thing, however, Drupal Console has Drush integration and can be used as Drush, also can create basic module/themes, but it will not work on Drupal 7 or less, where as Drush currently is covering most of the versions of Drupal 5, 6, 7, 8;
The way I see it, Drupal Console might take over Drush.
